ALMOST TIME

I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to getting my homeschool lesson plans finished. To be honest, I've barely even gotten my first week of lessons fully written out yet. Every year I sit and think about if I'm going to do things the same way like I've done before. School starts for us in a few weeks and I'm hopefully I'll be ready. Be sure to subscribe to my YT channel so that you can see my progress. Videos coming soon!

Summer Off or Summer On?

So do you take the summers off from homeschooling? Is your family the kind that prefers to continue academics during the warm months? We typically take the month of June off and start back up with homeschooling in the month of July. In the past, we would take the entire summer off from school work and we would return in the fall with some learning gaps. The kids seemed to have forgotten some of the skills that we had previously covered in the spring and fall of the year before.

Although we don't stop learning and reading from July to August, we only do about 3 days of school per week. This type of schedule allows us to stay sharp minded, but still have free time to enjoy sports, camps, etc. So what works for your family? Share your experience in the comments. XOXO

Just a Bible lovin' mom that homeschools and bakes. Oh and I love to take photos too.
